Session #1: The State of Rural America: Long-Term Trends, Unprecedented Change, Uncertainty, and Possibility

Rural America continues to change and evolve. Some of these trends have been long in the making, while the recent health crisis and its economic impacts, have been tumultuous and created great uncertainty. Drawing upon recent research and data analysis, HAC will present the State of Rural America - reviewing trends and recent conditions for a wide array of demographic, social, and economic characteristics that will help inform housing strategies and solutions for rural communities and rural people.

Session #2: 2020 Vision: Pathways and Outcomes

The path to recovery is filled with twists and turns.  Resiliency requires us to clearly see the impact of our changes and continue to revise and innovate to ensure we build a better tomorrow.  Join us as we examine how rural housing organizations have continued to innovate and improve operations to ensure a positive recovery.

Session #3: How the HAC Loan Fund Can Help Your Organization Achieve Resiliency

As all housing organizations have struggled to suffer through and recover from the effects of COVID, wildfires, floods, and other natural disasters, the HAC Loan Fund has helped several of our borrowers to make the process easier. Come meet our team, hear some examples, and learn how your organization can work with the HAC Loan Fund.

Session #4: Rural Resiliency Through Policy Collaboration

Sector-specific solutions dominate rural policy. We often hear about rural health, rural water, rural housing, rural broadband, and agriculture. But we rarely see rural communities considered in an integrated and holistic way. Rural groups, both locally and nationally, are coming together to expand our impact through a deep and sustained commitment to cross-sector collaboration. This session will feature members of one such collaboration – the organizations behind the Rural Opportunity And Development Sessions (ROADS) – discussing the power of rural collaboration as a force for policy change.
